Our team of designers are conversant with many software applications, ensuring that artwork is designed to suit both the product and the printing process. We operate the most advanced Apple Macs combined with the latest versions of high end software.
We can produce print ready artwork from a rough brief to an existing printed sample that needs re-originating. If you don't have an idea for your project, why not leave the concept to us? Our highly skilled designers can produce various visuals and proofs. We can provide 3D Virtual Proofs which simulate special effects such as foiling, embossing and varnishing. Digital Press-Predictive Cromalins (up to 200lpi) are also available. |

Reprographics |

All files received or created in the studio under-go rigorous checking procedures prior to final output. We have a great understanding of a wide range of printing processes and software applications.
Complementing the latest editions of software packages such as Adobe Illustrator and Freehand are the high-end Deskpack Reprographic Modules developed by Esko-Artwork. This suite of tools gives our operators far greater control of repro tasks, including colour re-touching, adding grips/traps and applying customers' personalisation. |

Film Output |

| Our family of ECRM high-end film imagesetters have been valuable components to our business for many years. In the advent
of ctp we have seen the need for film dwindle somewhat, however we have always kept these machines in tip-top condition
and therefore are still able to support any film output requirements. Our maximum output size is 635mm x 3500mm. We supply
positive / negative 0.004“ Konica media. |

Platemaking |

Our platemaking department comprises of four sections producing plates for various printing processes including Flexographic, Lithographic and Letterpress.

Flexography

|
We employ the latest technology in digital platemaking and to date have three CDI machines ranging from 25" x 30" to 48" x 35" with solvent and water based flow-line processing.
Our lasers support standard 2540dpi and now high definition 4000dpi for the ultimate in photo quality reproduction. This equipment, coupled with a state-of-the-art Esko-Automation workflow enables us to produce consistently high quality digital printing plates in various thicknesses.

Lithography

| We have a wealth of experience in supplying the offset lithographic industry. Using traditional film exposure and a comprehensive range of plate types and thicknesses we are able to accommodate most lithographic machines.

Letterpress

| Our letterpress department combines both analogue and digital platemaking. We produce foil and steel-back plates in various thicknesses using a water development system. These plates can also be used for dry offset printing.

Wide Format Printing |

Our wide format printers use a range of 4, 7 and 8 inkjet cartridges enabling us to produce high quality images onto a wide range of substrates. These include; matt, gloss, silk papers and synthetics, self adhesive vinyl and specialist medias such as high-grade artist canvasses, static window cling - even aluminium!
We can supply large format digital proofs, banners for both indoor and outdoor use and portable roll-up display graphics which are ideal for exhibition use or in an office/reception environment.

Digital Cromalin |
| Our Starproof system is an innovative proofing solution with the power to produce up 200lpi contract proofs. This systems uses
rip-once technology. This means when we rip a file for imaging, the plate / film setter is using exactly the same file as Starproof, ensuring 100% data integrity between proof and print. We can calibrate the proofing set-up to the characteristics of the printing press, meaning we can quickly deliver a colour accurate proof which is repeatable on press. Combining Starproof with our Epson K3 inkjet proofer, we
can ensure the proof you receive is razor sharp with a hard dot and the finest of detail.

3D Proofing |
| We have recently invested in the latest in 3D proofing technology. This visualising software enables us to produce on-screen
mock-ups of complex packaging designs - even with special finishes like spot uv varnish, foil block and embossing. We can export
our 3D models as interactive quicktime images. You can proof realistic animations of the package design as a flat sheet, a die-cut sheet,
or folded, in a range of real-world lighting environments.

Digital Label Service |

| Our Roland Print 'n' Cut label making device bridges standard proofing methods and wet-proofing on press. This service is ideal if you require a small number of samples or a short-run of labels, without going to the time and expense of buying dies, plates and booking press time. A range of different substrates are available, including clear and static window cling.
